I have tried these on 847s made from 2000 on.

1      shorted
2     shorted
3     open
4     shorted
5     open
6     shorted

 

TX ranges will be (MHz)   1.8-2, 3.5-4.0, 7-7.5, 10-10.5, 14-14.5, 18-18.5, 21-21.5, 24.5-25, 28-30, 50-54, 70-70.5, 140-154, 420-460 with o.6 and 1.6MHz repeater splits, and 12.5 and 25kHz FM channel steps.

As far as I can see, there is no other combination that will give you 4m and extended 40m as well as the UK auto repeater splits and the 12.5/25 channel steps
